Leaders from across the UK screen, development, investment and public sectors came together in Leeds during UKREiiF 2026 for The Next Stage of UK Screen Investment: Creative Places, Campuses and Infrastructure roundtable, hosted by the UK Screen Investment Programme (UKSIP).
Chaired by Robert Laycock, CEO of Marlow Studios, the discussion explored how studio development can drive wider regeneration, the future infrastructure needed to support evolving content production, and how regions can collaborate more effectively to unlock inward investment, skills and long-term growth across the UK screen sector.
The conversation brought together representatives from local authorities, studios, developers, investors, education and industry organisations to discuss the future of creative ecosystems, production infrastructure, flexible studio models, skills development and regional collaboration.
A key theme throughout the session was the importance of building connected screen ecosystems that combine production, post-production, innovation, tourism, skills and digital infrastructure to support the next phase of UK screen growth.
The roundtable forms part of the wider UK Screen Investment Programme activity, supporting collaboration and investment across the UK’s screen industry ahead of the UK Screen Investment Summit later this year.
